Can you share a particularly memorable project or collaboration you’ve been a part of?
In the early stages of my tenure at Qloo, I led the development of the Geospatial Route. This tool was initially conceived to meet the needs of a prospective client who was interested in understanding the taste of people for specific areas/regions. This tool has been leveraged by many clients for varying use cases ranging from cold start analysis to advertising.
What’s a project you’re currently working on that you’re excited about?
I am currently working on a project involving genre and taste analysis specific to various geolocations and regions. This initiative provides a broader perspective and understanding on the cultural preferences of people in specific areas, like the aforementioned Geospatial Route.
In your role at Qloo, you’re continually innovating. How do you generate ideas?
Firstly, the fantastic team I work with creates an environment where we encourage each other and collaborate, which naturally leads to creative ideas. Secondly, the ever-changing dataset we deal with motivates us to explore new ways to improve our recommendations. The complex technical challenges we face not only keep things interesting but also push us to find unique solutions. Lastly, the opportunity to learn, grow, and mentor my team in the evolving fields of culture, recommendations, and AI constantly inspires me to excel in my role.
Outside of work, do you have any hobbies or passions that intersect with Qloo’s focus on culture and AI?
Outside of Qloo, I have a strong affinity for activities that align with Qloo’s emphasis on culture and AI. My passions include exploring new culinary experiences at various restaurants, traveling to immerse myself in diverse cultures, and reality tv :)
